Dino Hotic is in the 'Team of the Week' for both Eleven Sports/Sport-Voetbalmagazine and Het Laatste Nieuws. As a Cercle player, Hotic is not alone in being selected by HLN: the midfielder is joined by Jesper Daland. This follows on from Cercle having a player in the spotlight last weekend as well; this is Daland's third time this season in the 'Team of the Week'!
Jesper Daland and Dino Hotic in the Teams of the Week!
While a point away to KRC Genk is always a bonus, there was mainly disappointment after the final whistle on Sunday evening. Cercle largely controlled the match and created many chances, even seeing two goals disallowed; one after a narrow offside on Van Der Bruggen and then what seemed to be 0-2 from Miangue after an apparent foul in the build-up. After Somers' goal in the first half, Cercle still had seemed on the way to a well-deserved victory, but in the end Bongonda was able to equalize with a very nice goal for the hosts.
Despite sharing the points, Cercle confirmed their good level of play over the past few weeks on Sunday evening. Not only in their collective organization, but in the impressive individual play of Daland and Hotic. This weekend, however, no there's no football for the Groen-Zwart: due to the international break, the players can enjoy a weekend of well-deserved rest. Except for Daland, that is, who will be on international duty with the Norwegian U21s.
